It was EXACTLY what I had pictured in my mind and you received so many
compliments!!! They LOVED the icing as it wasn't so sweet and Aunt Nina cried
and wouldn't eat her piece. I think she took it home and shellacked it!! :-)

cake for our Vow Renewal. My husband Derek and I had only been married for 2 weeks before he
was deployed to Iraq in 2009. We had a lovely private ceremony on a beach in Jamiaca before he
left, but we had bigger plans in mind for when he came home. Our cake in Jamaica was pittiful! So
was the ceremony, but it was still magical and amazing. While he was gone I planned the wedding of
our dreams, really it was the wedding we would have had in 2009 had the deployment not have
come up so soon. You see for our original wedding we were alone. No family, no friends. We knew
we wanted that grand experience when the time was right.
I went to my first wedding show and found myself at your stand looking at your beautiful work, and
while at that time I had no direction for what I wanted to do for our "real wedding", I knew I wanted
you to be a part of it. When Derek came home more then a year later we met with you and had such
a great time tasting your yummy cake and showing you our vision of what we wanted done. You
didn't hesitate to take on the challange and you reassured us about how it would turn out. Boy were
you right!!
I wish you could have been there to see my and Derek's face when we saw the cake on our wedding
(vow renewal) day! The cake was amazing!! I've included pictures that you can feel free to post on
your website if you like. Our photographer had a blast shooting your cake. And our family and
friends ooh'd and aw'd! I hated cutting into it because it was so beautiful. My husband and I used his
army sword to cut it and boy was it fun!! We had ordered an extra cake from you and guess
what...even though there were only 75 people at the wedding and enough cake for 100...it was still
ALL GONE except a few tiny slices left! Derek and I didn't even get any cake at our own wedding!!
But we remembered that you give anniversary cakes so we figured we would get some then. I've
included pictures of the cake and the wedding so you can see how it all came together. I remember
you saying how you don't get to be there for the big reveal so I figured this would be fun for you to
see!
