I have always been an avid cook and baker of everything from
pies and tarts, bagels and artisan breads, custards and cakes, to
gourmet French, Italian, and Polish meals. I love to entertain,
and I find it immensely satisfying to serve a guest something
special.  I also feel strongly about high-quality ingredients, and I
use only the freshest and most organic products available, both
at home for my family and in my cakes.  

I started baking as a child beside my mother, who was a
restaurant baker and chef and later owned a gourmet candy store
and deli, where I had my first job.  I remember her stirring pots
of bubbling caramel for fresh caramel corn, hand dipping
chocolate truffles, filling peanut butter cups and my great
grandmother's coconut balls, and baking fresh bagels. She
encouraged me to enter my first chocolate cake in our county
fair at the age of 15, which won Grand Prize.

I started by taking the full Wilton cake decorating course in 2001
and then had the opportunity to do my first wedding cake  in
2002, and I found that I loved weddings!  I completed a
wedding cake course in 2007, and we opened our beautiful new
cake bakery in Post Falls in early 2009.
